This was a passion project for me, I have always wanted to shoot energy beams from my hands and with a Quest 3 and hand tracking it's now possible. I used custom hand poses to trigger the different phases of the energy blast and put colliders on the particle system so it can interact with other objects. Removing the hand tacking visual was a small decision with a large impact on the final product, the immersion is incredible.
